In April of 2009 I was 49 and went to the doctor for a routine checkup. I didn't think anything of it when the doctor's office called and said they'd like to see me in person.
my lab results showed I had Stage 4 cervical cancer.
My doctor recommended I have an emergency hysterectomy to remove all of my female organs. I was 48 and in her opinion, I "didn't need them anyway." But I knew this wasn't true. God would not have put organs in our bodies unless we needed them.
I told my doctor I wasn't going to do the procedure. Shortly after that I received a letter from her, telling me if I didn't have the hysterectomy she was "washing her hands of me" and she wouldn't be held responsible for my inevitable death. I still have that letter today.
I decided to see a naturopath who suggested a live blood analysis. The results confirmed what my first doctor had told me...
I had less than two months to live
Rather than panic, I asked about alternative treatments and she suggested a raw foods protocol that used food to help the body detox and heal. I decided I had nothing to loose but my life.
For six months I followed this program, which consisted of a lot of foul-tasting juices, reflexology, colonics, and chiropractic care.
More than 10 years later I've never returned to the doctor. I'm still alive and cancer free.
After healing myself and helping my daughter overcome her own health struggles with Hashimoto's Thyroiditis I know, beyond a shadow of a doubt, the human body is more powerful than any prescription. It is my mission to spread this message, to give people hope, and the tools they need to heal themselves.
